Ross Willis Custom Decoys and Lures
A little about me, my decoys and the great sport of spearfishing.

If you've found your way here from my Ebay ME page, you know that I've been spearing around Northern Michigan off and on my entire life.  Mostly on Lakes Cadillac and Mitchell.  The best way I know of to spend a day is on the ice, in a darkhouse with my sons and grandsons. One of the reasons I love fishing.

I started carving around 1995 and in 1999 I met Bill Roberts of LakeCity.  Bill introduced me to the world of decoys and I've been carving them every since.  In addition to decoys, I also enjoy carving muskie lures.

I take pride in the fact that every decoy I make is a "service working" decoy.  They are all guaranteed to swim and are designed to be used to help you get the big one.

With Kaleva just up the road, I've got a special place in my heart for Makinen Lures and am always looking for new ones to add to my collection.

The world of decoys and spearing have allowed me to meet some really great people from the MDAA, including Doug Davis in Wisconsin, and Tom Richards of Cadillac, a premier spear maker.  I've spent many hours out on the ice with people I've met through this great sport.

I hope you'll take some time to look around and enjoy the information and photos that I've got here.  If you have any questions,  just drop me an email.  I'm always looking to meet new collectors and fishing friends.

It gets a little snowy here in Northern Michigan
